The main aim of this training is to develop your understanding of Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) so that you can feel more confident to support people with PDA.
We will provide you with some of the theories underpinning the PDA profile combined with practical guidance based on our and each others’ experience. As such, there will be an interactive element to the training.

- To understand some of the Neuroscience behind PDA.
- Learn what the key features of PDA are.
- To provide you with some helpful language and communication to support those with PDA.
- To support your knowledge of the environment and sensory needs of those with PDA.
- Helpful approaches for anxiety management for PDAers.
- Practical support based on interaction and lived experience
