Support...
...that Meets Families Where They Are
In-home visits
For some children and young people, school isn’t always the place where change can begin. Anxiety, unmet needs, or previous experiences can make it difficult to engage in a classroom setting. That’s where in-home support becomes powerful. By working directly with pupils in their own environment, Insight Intervention creates a space where they feel safe, understood, and ready to engage.
Our practitioners deliver structured, curriculum-based interventions through art, design, and drama, adapted to the home setting. These sessions are not just about creativity — they are carefully designed to support emotional regulation, build resilience, and develop positive behaviour strategies. Whether it’s using painting to process emotions, rhythm and movement to regulate, or creative tasks to build focus and confidence, each session is purposeful and tailored to the individual.
Working in the home also allows us to model strategies in real-life moments. Parents and carers can see approaches in action, understand how to respond in challenging situations, and feel more confident in supporting their child day to day. This isn’t a one-off intervention — it’s a way of embedding sustainable change that carries beyond each session.
In-home visits are particularly effective for pupils who are currently out of school, awaiting placement, or finding traditional settings overwhelming. They provide a consistent, relationship-led approach that helps rebuild trust, re-engage learning behaviours, and create a bridge back into education where appropriate.
At Insight Intervention, the goal is always the same: to create meaningful, lasting change. By bringing our work into the home, we’re able to meet pupils exactly where they are — and begin the work from there.
