We’re incredibly excited to be expanding our work in Gateshead, bringing the impact of Insight Intervention to more young people, families, and schools across the area. Gateshead is a place full of energy and diversity, and we’re proud to be offering a creative, tailored approach to intervention that meets young people where they are. Our growing presence in Gateshead reflects our commitment to delivering meaningful support that goes beyond traditional methods and creates lasting, positive change.

Our intervention work in Gateshead is centred around curriculum-based support, using art, design, and drama as powerful tools for regulation, engagement, and communication. For example, we are supporting a non-verbal autistic young person in the Gateshead area who uses drumming and painting to regulate and express themselves, helping to build consistent behavioural strategies that reduce anxiety and increase confidence over time. Alongside this, we are working with another young person on behaviour, mental health, and resilience, weaving in structured support and targeted training to help them better understand and manage their responses in both school and home environments.

All Insight Intervention sessions in Gateshead are delivered by a skilled practitioner and can take place in the home or within local schools, depending on what best supports the individual. We work closely with families, schools, and professionals across Gateshead to ensure every intervention is aligned, practical, and effective. At Insight Intervention, we believe that progress happens when support is flexible, creative, and rooted in understanding, and our work in Gateshead is focused on helping young people build confidence, develop resilience, and move forward with a stronger sense of self.
